Reed to speak at Ontario Club

Geophysical consultant Laurie Reed will discuss the Selbaie mine at a meeting of the Toronto Geological Discussion Group Oct. 22 at the Ontario Club in Toronto.

The mine, situated near Villebois in northwestern Quebec, is a volcanogenic polymetallic sulphide deposit. It was brought into production in 1980. Mining was recently completed, and milling is slated to continue for another year.

Reed will review the history and geology of the operation.
