Survival in September

Survival 2001, a conference on how to cut costs and increase productivity at mining operations, is slated for Sept. 10-11 at the Airport Hilton Hotel in Toronto.

Speakers will present case studies, among them, Robert Buchan, chairman and chief executive officer of Kinross Gold.

Attendees will learn about how automated mining can be applied to existing operations, and why some cost-cutting plans fail while others succeed.
