Donner explores ground near Lac Rocher project

In the Lac Rocher area of Quebec, Donner Minerals (DML-V) is exploring ground it has optioned from Falconbrige (FL-T) and Noranda (NOR-T).

The $1-million field program will consist of geological mapping, prospecting, diamond drilling, and airborne and ground geophysical surveys.

Helicopter-borne magnetic and electromagnetic surveys have now been completed over all of the optioned claims not previously covered by a government survey. In addition, the company has re-surveyed certain claims in order to verify and collect more information about known anomalies.

The geophysical anomalies identified by the new survey are being evaluated by an ongoing field program. Donner says significant anomalies that cannot be explained in the field will be drill-tested.

Donner can earn half-interests in properties held by Falconbridge and Noranda in return for cash and exploration expenditures. The property comprises 1,100 mineral claims, totalling 17,000 ha, and is situated just north of ground held by Nuinsco Resources (NWI-T).
