Guardian Enterprises (GUD-V) has uncovered macrodiamonds in samples taken from its claim blocks in Wyoming.
The company is using grease tables to process screened alluvial gravels sampled from the area.
To date, a 68-kg sample has yielded eight confirmed macrodiamonds ranging in size from 1 to 2.5 mm, with a parcel weight of 0.18 carat. The macros are described as clear, colorless and octahedral.
Tests are being carried out on 42 additional clear stones.
Guardian believes the diamonds are from a source other than the 1995 discovery of 10 kimberlite diatreme pipes, which occur along a 5-mile long structure.
