U.S. REPORT Vinta acquires Alaskan claims

Along with details of management changes, Vinta Explorations (VSE) recently announced plans to explore a newly acquired 124,520-acre land package in Alaska. The junior company said US$12 million was spent on the property by previous operators and an air- strip, large camp and equipment are in place. This previous work included 54,000 ft. of drilling on a gold-silver deposit with geological reserves estimated at 1.68 million tons grading 0.071 oz. gold and 2.05 oz. silver.

Vinta plans to carry out a 5,000-ft. drill program to upgrade reserve categories and to increase tonnage and grade on the Illinois Creek project. The company is hoping to prove up a high-grade, season, open pit, heap leach operation at the Illinois Creek zone and explore other areas of the claim block.

Vinta also noted that the property, south of Galena in west-central Alaska, contains “numerous precious metal and base metal deposits and occurrences.”
