Birim expands Ghanaian holdings

CDN-listed Birim Goldfields has expanded its Dunkwa prospecting licence in Ghana to more than 130 from 50 sq. km.

The property lies between the Ashanti Goldfields gold mine and Gencor’s Bogosu gold mine.

With the expansion, Birim now controls a strike length of more than 35 km along the Ashanti gold belt.

The area includes a promising gold-bearing quartz vein target known as the Anyamote prospect, which was previously explored at the turn of the century with a shaft and two adits to a depth of 75 metres.
