NEWS IN BRIEF Corona options Red Cap

A preliminary exploration program is now in progress on the Red Cap polymetallic property in British Columbia’s Taku Valley, 40 miles east of Juneau, Alaska.

The project will be operated by International Corona (TSE) which has the right to earn a 60% interest from majority owner, Omni Resources (VSE), and two juniors holding minority interests.

Omni reports that the mineralogy, geochemistry and geology all suggest the Red Cap may represent a high-level, zone-porphyry copper-molybdenum system with a good precious metals overprint.

An independent consultant is reported to have sampled a relatively fresh exposure over 30 ft. which assayed 0.058 oz. gold and 0.15 oz. silver per ton, 0.4% copper and 0.052% molybdenum.
