ON THE MOVE (August 02, 1991)

Appointments of three general managers have been announced by Atlas Copco. They are: Robert McLeod, general manager, tunnelling and mining equipment (based in Montreal); Alan Weiner, general manager of Surface Drilling Equipment (Denver); Dan Mahoney, general manager of Atlas Copco Kenroc (North Bay); and Peo Sollerud, general manager of the Construction Tools unit (Norwalk, Conn.)

Mike Zaharna has been appointed chief operating officer of Bailey Controls Co. of Wickliffe, Ohio. Zaharna, who joined the company 24 years ago, previously served as executive vice-president of global operations, vice-president of international operations and manager responsible for computer engineering.

Kenneth Casey has been named president and chief executive officer of ETI Explosives, based in Wilmington, Del. Previously he served as vice-president of manufacturing and technology. A chartered chemist in Ontario, Casey was elected a fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada in 1971.

James Taylor has been appointed territory manager in central Canada for NPK Construction Equipment. From his Toronto headquarters, Taylor will coordinate sales in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He previously was associated with Ray Gordon Equipment as sales manager and general manager. Also appointed is Paul Scully as territory manager in the Pacific Northwest and western Canada.

John Novoselac has been promoted to power industry manager after three years as thermal products director for Denver Equipment Co. of Colorado Springs, Colo.
