LAST BUT NOT LEAST — Westminer kills Fenton option

Despite a winter program which yielded encouraging results, Westminer Canada has decided to terminate its option on Cache Explorations’ (ME) Fenton property near Chapais, Que.

Hole 93-03, drilled to test a newly discovered shear zone, encountered 2.64 grams gold per tonne at a depth of 22.3 metres, 56.5 grams at 33.8 metres and 10.4 grams at 64.4 metres. All intersections were 0.2 metres wide. Other drilling nearby identified another mineralized zone with gold values in excess of 0.5 grams.

Cache plans to carry out a magnetic survey prior to any additional drilling. In the early 1980s, the Societe de Developpement de la Baie James outlined 150,000 tonnes grading 8.6 grams gold on the property.
