Following a successful exploration season at the Huckleberry property last year, Vancouver, B.C.-based New Canamin Resources has received a provincial award for successful reclamation of an exploration project.
The company completed about 25,000 ft. of infill drilling on the property, near Kemano, B.C., to outline a higher-grade core of copper mineralization within a known reserve estimated at about 85.6 million tons grading 0.4% copper.
New Canamin’s management thanked its staff, consulting geologist Ainsworth-Jenkins and contract driller J.T. Thomas Diamond Drilling for contributing to the 1992 drill program and the environmental award. A reserve estimate based on last year’s drilling has yet to be completed. Drilling is continuing on the East zone, recently discovered about 4,000 ft. east of the Main zone.
