Mimiska encouraged by Nabish drilling Mimiska encouraged by Nabish

Nickel values returned from a 7-hole drilling program representing 610 metres at the Nabish Lake property near Dryden, Ont., are encouraging, Societe Minere Mimiska (ME) reported. The drilling was aimed at testing five geophysical anomalies and a surface sulphide-rich zone with nickel-copper values uncovered in December, 1990.

Two shallow holes tested the sulphide zone. One hole returned 1.5 metres of 0.91% nickel and 0.52% copper, and 1.28 metres of 0.62% nickel and 0.39% copper. The second hole intersected 0.7 metres of 0.53% nickel.

A couple of the remaining holes, drilled to test the anomalies, returned nickel and palladium values, the company said.

Mimiska President Michel David said an anomaly under Nabish Lake remains to be tested.
