Partners Consolidated Oasis Resources (ME) and Soquem have drilled three holes in a second phase of drilling on their Fancamp gold project, near Chibougamau, Que.
The drilling was carried out on the Nouvelle zone, which was discovered with an intersection from Hole 14 that ran 4 grams gold per tonne over 5.2 metres.
Holes 15 and 16, drilled 200 metres on either side of Hole 14, intersected the altered shear assemblage that hosts the discovery. Assay values from Holes 15 and 16 returned anomalous gold values. Hole 17, drilled 600 metres along strike from Hole 14, intersected a large alteration and deformation assemblage that assayed 1 gram gold per tonne over 16 metres. The strike length of the structure hosting the Nouvelle zone is more than 2 km. An additional 1,000 metres of drilling are planned to test the structure between Holes 14 and 17.
