Waddy Lake Resources (TSE) continues to excavate a decline on the Komis gold project in northern Saskatchewan.
The work will enable the company to extract a 10,000-tonne bulk sample from the A and C zones.
A ramp has been excavated to 168 metres below surface and 25 metres of drifting have been completed at the 400-metre level., only 20 metres below surface (mine levels are given in elevation above sea level). The plan is to complete the ramp to a depth of 350 metres and drive crosscuts at the 400- and 350-metre levels.
In addition to the bulk sample, which is expected to be completed by May, the company plans to conduct a 1,000-2,000-metre drill program to test the extension along strike and at depth of the five mineralized zones. The total cost of the drilling and bulk sampling is estimated to be $3.6 million.
Komis is a multi-zone deposit with minable reserves of 303,600 tonnes averaging 16.02 grams per tonne, using a cutoff of 5.1 grams.
