Drilling has identified previously unreported faults on inactive railway land in Timmins, Ont.
One of the faults has past production on the adjoining Hollinger ground. The 4-hole program, conducted by Timmginn Syndicate, consists of 2,630 metres. Syndicate manager Robert Ginn said the holes cut zones of alteration which provide targets for detailed drilling. Some specks of visible gold and sub-economic but anomalous gold values were obtained.
The syndicate raised $225,000 for drilling on the 520-acre property which sits northwest of most of the original Hollinger and McIntyre gold mines and north of the Moneta Porcupine gold mine.
A second program, representing 3,500 metres, is set to begin this month. It will test the northerly extension of the horizon which hosted the Moneta orebodies
