Drilling is set to begin this month on the Hellens Eplett polymetallic property, north of Cobalt, Ont.
The property is owned by Starmin Mining (TSE) and International Platinum (TSE).
Operating the program is Falconbridge, which may earn up to a 75% interest in the 26 claims by spending $1.5 million on exploration and paying $145,000 in cash over five years.
Underground drilling in the 1980s on the northern claims encountered massive sulphide copper-zinc-silver-gold mineralization; drilling on the southern claims returned encouraging gold values.
Starmin and International Platinum each own half of the northern 11 claims whereas the former owns all 15 claims in the southern block.
