Surface sampling and drilling demonstrate that the gold-bearing zone of the Beta Vargas deposit in Costa Rica is open to the east and at depth.
Lyon Lake Mines (ME) has completed 17 reverse circulation holes representing 6,700 ft. as part of an ore-reserve verification program. Among the latest drill results are 0.083 oz. gold per ton across 6.5 ft. in Hole RC-5, and 0.017 oz. across 40 ft. and 0.031 oz. across 52 ft. in Hole RC-16. Surface channel sampling results assayed as high as 0.46 oz. As part of its feasibility study for an open-pit mine, the company is considering the possibility of drilling 30-50 additional holes to delineate the deposit extension.
