Exploracion Minera Internacional Espana S.A. (Exminesa), a Spanish mining company 48% owned by Cominco (TSE), has announced the closure and sale of all capital assets at its Rubiales lead-zinc mine in the Lugo province, Spain.
In its 16 years of operation, the mine milled more than 12 million tons of ore and produced around 1.4 million tons of zinc concentrate and over 213,000 tons of lead concentrate.
