LATIN AMERICA ROUNDUP — Aurizon exploring La Reyna project

A $200,000 exploration program is under way at La Reyna project near Mazatlan, Mex., Aurizon Mines (TSE) reports.

The work involves cutting grid lines, taking soil samples, mapping and re-logging of old drill core.

The company says the program has identified several new occurrences of copper oxide and tourmaline breccia surrounding the East and West Hill deposits where a preliminary reserve figure of 15 million tons grading 0.72% copper and 0.03 oz. gold per ton is estimated.

Planned for this month is geophysical work, to be followed by a drill program.
