Another executive at American Barrick Resources (TSE) has profited on the gold producer’s financial performance. Senior Vice-President Kenneth Thomas more than doubled his money in October when he exercised 10,000 options at $15.06 and sold 9,400 at $38.35, just below the 52-week high of $39.88.
Barrick recently issued record financial results, realizing profits of US$109.4 million for the first nine months of 1992. The Toronto-based company’s Goldstrike mine in Nevada reported a 66% increase in gold production.
Along with other gold stocks, Barrick shares took a hit in early November when the yellow metal plummeted to a 6-year low of US$330.25 per oz. in New York.
