Two-phase exploration program proposed for Task property

A 2-phase exploration program has been proposed for the Task property held by Pioneer Metals (TSE) in the Taseko Lake area of southern British Columbia.

The company reported that a recent reconnaissance geophysical (IP) survey revealed an extensive anomaly, north of the Fish Lake copper-gold deposit being developed by Taseko Mines (VSE).

The Task property is situated over the centre of the granitic intrusive that hosts the Fish Lake deposit three kilometres to the south. The large geophysical anomaly is reported to encompass a zone of scattered copper mineralization in quartz-diorite, discovered during a 1991 assessment program. Assays of up to 0.41% copper were obtained from the zone. Preliminary recommendations propose a 2-phase program entailing systematic geophysical, geochemical and geological surveys followed by diamond drilling.
