A 48% interest in the Petaquilla property in Panama was incorrectly reported (“Panama boasts mining potential,” T.N.M., Mar. 15/93) as belonging to Minnova (TSE). Minnova’s ownership is through a 50/50 joint venture with Kerr Addison Mines (TSE); each company has a 24% stake in Petaquilla.
Elsewhere in the same issue is a report on the extraction of material in 1981 from a property in Harker-Holloway Twp., Ont. (“Gwen to resume Buffonta mining”). Kerr says the reference may be to a small open pit the company mined in Garrison Twp. Kerr quoted haulage of 63,500 tons in its 1981 annual report. The subsequent diamond drilling mentioned in the report was not performed by Kerr.
