Newfoundland and New Brunswick will review their mining activities next month and in November.
From Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, Newfoundland will host its Mining Week. Margaret Witte, president of Vancouver-based Royal Oak Mines, will speak at the 39th annual meeting held by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), Newfoundland branch, in St. John’s.
As well, New Brunswick’s Mineral Resources division will report on its work conducted throughout the year during the 1992 Annual Review of Activities in Fredericton, Nov. 16-17.
Initiated 17 years ago by the Geological Surveys Branch of the province’s Department of Natural Resources & Energy, this open house includes annual meetings of the CIM and of the New Brunswick Prospectors & Developers Association.
