Information sought on Kerr’s Baker

I am looking for information concerning James Baker, who was chief geologist at the Kerr Addison gold mine at Virginiatown, Ont., from 1937 to 1960, because of his major contributions to the mining geology of the deposit and the successful operation of the mine.

I am particularly interested in where he came from, where he received his geological education and training, and where he worked before his employment at the Kerr.

I am also interested in personal memories of him that people might have. I would appreciate information being sent to me care of the Department of Geology, University of Toronto, 22 Russell St., Toronto, Ont. M5S 3B1. Ed Spooner
