AMERICAN BARRICK — Alan Hill appointed executive vice- president of operations and Gregory Wilkins, executive vice-president and chief financial officer.


COAL ASSOCIATION OF CANADA — Giacomo Capobianco appointed president and chief executive officer.


TRADER RESOURCE CORP. — David Bell, director elected president.


BRITISH COLUMBIA SECURITIES COMMISSION — Joyce Maykut appointed vice-chairman.


NORTHWEST TERRITORIES, Dept. of Indian Affairs and Northern Development — David Nutter appointed director, minerals and economic analysis.


REYNOLDS METALS CO. — J.D. McLean named vice-president and general manager of Reynolds Australia Metals Pty., Ltd., and Reynolds Australia Alumina Ltd., subsidiaries in Australia. His duties will include serving on the management committee of the Mt. Gibson Gold mine joint venture, developing new ventures, and maintaining a relationship with both state and federal authorities.


NEWMONT MINING CORP. & NEWMONT GOLD CO. — Paul Maroni elected vice-president.


THE HORSHAM CORP. — Peter Munk appointed chief executive officer; Jerry Garbutt, president and chief operating officer.


ASARCO Inc. — Jay Spickelmier named manager of the Globe Plant in Denver, Colorado succeeding Lawrence Eagan who has resigned.


HOMESTAKE MINING — Jonathan Williams will assume the duties of Richard Stumbo Jr., vice- president of finance, and chief financial officer. Stumbo has resigned to pursue other interests.


AKIKO-LORI GOLD — Michael Levinson appointed president succeeding Arthur Clemiss who resigned. Albert Raponi appointed to the board of directors. John Ivany and Murray Pezim resigned from the board.
