Keevil to speak at Hall of Fame’s induction banquet

Keynote speaker at the upcoming second annual induction banquet and ceremony of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame will be Norman Keevil Jr., president and chief executive officer of Teck Corp. and chairman of The Mining Association of Canada.

At last year’s initial ceremony, lasting tribute was paid to 12 individ uals deemed to have made an outstanding contribution to the Canadian mining industry. Eight more are to be inducted this year — three living and five posthumously.

National in scope, this year’s function is expected to draw more than 600. It will be held at Toronto’s Royal York Hotel on Jan 8. Norman Keevil Jr. N.B. Keevil Jr.
