The newest addition to Intergraph’s cadd solutions, MicroStation Mac, has been released.

Like its counterparts, MicroStation pc and MicroStation 32, the new software is an inexpensive, entry-level system, the company says. The package offers full compatibility with Intergraph’s vax-based core graphics software, allowing low-cost access to a more sophisticated system.

Features include: up to eight separate views of a design for the vewing of different perspectives and scales; a 1-button mouse; easy data exchange with other applications; a “clipboard” for temporarily storing graphics or text; more than 450 veiwing and drawing functions; and fully implemented 3-dimensional graphics. Northern Consolidated Equipment of Sudbury, Ont., is marketing a 1-man rockbolting platform and equipment carrier called the Minecat Rockbolter.

The diesel-powered, trailer-mounted unit comes equipped with three hydraulic jacks for stability and leveling on any ground. The driller can operate the manlift, a hydraulic screen rack and rack tilt function — all from the manbasket.

Other features include 150 ft of hose and reels for air and water, lock valves on all cylinders and an emergency braking system.
