Cathedral in red ink for third quarter

Gold production during the quarter at the 52% owned Sterling Mine in Nevada was 1,914 oz, bringing total production for the nine months to 5,296 oz.

The company attributed the drop in earnings to an increase in the value of the Canadian dollar and a fall in gold prices. In addition, gold recoveries declined as a result of reduced throughput with the mining out of the Burro open pit and the transition to 100% underground operations.
