The gold-silver-copper project is located in the Iskut River area of northwestern British Columbia.
According to Gerald Carlson, president, the work program will focus on the Northwest zone where previous drilling returned some impressive results within a strike length of 1,000 ft. The zone is described as a structurally controlled, stratabound replacement style of mineralization within gently dipping marble beds.
Selected results from previous drilling include: 30 ft of 0.404 oz gold, 0.11 oz silver and 0.23% copper; 36.5 ft of 1.605 oz gold, 1.16 oz silver and 0.97% copper; 15.1 ft of 0.810 oz gold, 0.29 oz silver and 0.41% copper; 16.1 ft of 0.645 oz gold, 0.29 oz silver and 0.24% copper; 9.9 ft of 0.620 oz gold, 0.82 oz silver and 0.29% copper; and 6.9 ft of 3.55 oz gold, 1.80 oz silver and 0.58% copper.
The 1989 program is budgeted at $500,000. This season’s drilling will focus on the central and deeper portions of the Northwest zone, including a possible stockwork feeder to the stratabound lenses.
