Nevada Goldfields program yields impressive results

Gold values including 0.38 oz over 10 ft, 0.17 oz across 15 ft, 0.43 oz over 20 ft, 0.46 oz over 15 ft and 0.19 oz over 30 ft, were reported from the program. The intercepts ranged in depth from 110 to 180 ft.

The Aurora mine has a milling capacity of 300 tons per day and production to date has largely involved the Prospectus vein. Earlier this year, the company made a significant discovery on the nearby Last Chance Hill prospect which could also be an important source of feed for the mill. Among the better results reported from there were: 10 ft grading 0.56 oz gold, 10 ft of 0.32 oz and 5 ft averaging 0.25 oz.

Things are also looking good at the company’s Manhattan property, 50 miles south of its Kingston mine in central Nevada. Reverse circulation drilling began there in late May and an evaluation is under way to determine the economics of on-site treatment or direct shipping to the Kingston mill. The holes, which were drilled 50 ft apart, tested a potential open pit target and yielded some impressive values.

The results included 20 ft of 0.26 oz gold beginning at 200 ft; 75 ft grading 0.24 oz starting at 15 ft; 20 ft averaging 0.23 oz gold beginning at 135 ft; 45 ft averaging 0.22 oz gold starting at 45 ft; 35 ft of 0.25 oz gold beginning at surface and 85 ft averaging 0.22 oz gold starting at 50 ft.
