The close-coupled or tandem units enable smaller mines to haul large payloads without the disadvantages and high costs associated with dismantling larger units for transport in cages as small as 1.5 m long and 1.2 m wide. A 10.4-kW motor drives both axles. It has 18-inch diameter (460-mm) wheels, an 825-mm wheelbase and eight helical coil springs that provide stability and excellent ride capabilities, according to the company.
The battery box can be lifted off vertically by using a Warren Battery changer.
