St. George farms out U.S. properties

The company had previously signed an agreement with Billiton Minerals USA (a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Petroleum) allowing Billiton to earn interests in four Nevada properties.

Under the new letter of intent, two of the projects were returned to St. George. The Mill Creek and Trenton Canyon projects will be subject to a new venture agreement to be negotiated by the two companies.

St. George intends to develop its own exploration program for the Indian Grouse and Horse Canyon properties, or will form a joint venture with a new partner.

The other letter of intent allows Reynolds Metals Exploration to explore St George’s Betty O’Neal properties which adjoin the existing Fisher Gold joint venture. Reynolds will fund all exploration cost at both the Betty O’Neal and Fisher Gold projects to the point of a mining decision.
