Gold at Gilt Edge

The first dore button containing an estimated 207 oz of gold and 327 oz of silver has been poured at the Gilt Edge mine in the northern Black Hills area of South Dakota.

The event marked the start-up of the fourth gold mining operation for MinVen Gold Corp. (TSE). The mine is located near Deadwood, S.D. and is owned and operated by a wholly-owned affiliate, Brohm Mining Corp.

Gold production from the oxide ore reserves at the mine is expected to average 43,000 oz per year once full production is attained. Oxide ore reserves at the mine total 6.1 million tons with an average grade of 0.046 oz gold per ton. The project also has substantial sulphide ore reserves.
