Tenajon Reports Further Drill Results From SB Property

Channel samples taken from recent underground work at the SB property near Stewart, B.C. returned impressive values in a number of metals including gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc. Tenajon Resources (VSE) is the operator of the project and has a 50% interest. Its partner, Esso Minerals, was recently put up for sale by Imperial Oil.

Values of 1.06 oz gold (cut: 0.798), 2.95 oz silver, 0.49% copper, 2.85% lead and 10.22% zinc per ton over 39.4 ft were reported from the south side of the 35 crosscut in the Main zone. On the north side, values of 0.867 oz gold (cut: 712 oz), 2.34 oz silver, 0.50% copper, 2.15% lead and 8.06% zinc over 37.7 ft were reported.

Underground exploration is continuing on the Main zone where a recent crosscut intersected the zone across 33 ft and channel samples across the entire 33-ft true width averaged 0.883 oz gold (cut: 0.74 oz) per ton.

Tenajon reports that seven drill stations were cut at 85-ft intervals in the adit along 590 ft of strike, and a fan of underground drill holes will be completed from each station.

Drilling is now in progress, with five holes completed in the 7,000-ft program. In addition to testing the Main zone, a portion of the underground drilling will test the area of the 1987 surface hole that intersected 1.3 ft of 230.0 oz gold.

In conjunction with the underground program, a surface diamond drilling program is being conducted to extend the southern boundary of the known strike. Tenajon said this program, consisting of a minimum of 16,000 ft, will continue as long as weather conditions permit.

The southern area being tested is located about 1,500 ft south of the underground program. Tenajon said initial indications suggest this area to be of a different nature than that encountered in the underground program which identified a heavy sulphide zone.

A number of holes were drilled south of one that intersected 57.2 ft of 0.105 oz gold per ton and extended the zone by about 450 ft. Gold values include: 18.9 ft of 0.291 oz; 24.6 ft of 0.427 oz; 59 ft of 0.12 oz, including 8.7 ft of 0.375 oz; and 23.3 ft of 0.165 oz.

The SB property is readily accessible by the Granduc road and lies between two significant deposits: the Big Missouri and Silbak which together make up the Premier Gold project being readied for production by Westmin Resources.
