Lightening drills on Dome Lake bet

A 4,000-ft drilling program is under way at the Dome Lake property located about 40 miles northeast of Yellowknife, N.W.T., by Lightening Minerals.

Exploration work on this 32-claim property has so far identified five veins with ore-bearing potential, says President Robert Evans. Three of these veins have been previously explored.

The company intends to extract a bulk sample from one of these veins called the Lambert vein. Additional exploration work will be conducted on the other two veins this summer.

Edmonton-based Lightening has completed, subject to regulatory approval, a private placement with nim and Co. Ltd. Partnership-1987. Mr Evans says that nim has committed a total of $239,000 for expenditure by the company on exploration programs on its properties.
