Interquest to drill at Montana project

A drilling program is slated for May by Interquest Resources Corp. at its Drumlummon mine property located in Marysville, Mon.

At the turn of the century the Drumlummon mine was the largest gold producer in the state of Montana, having produced 600,000 oz of gold and 5 million oz of silver from about 1.2 million tons of ore with an average grade of 0.6 oz. Litigation with an adjoining owner brought production to a halt in 1911 and the property has been worked intermittently since that time.

Chairman W. L. Koyle says a substantial area of the mine has never been explored.

The first stage of the drilling program will be conducted at the 400 ft level to follow up drilling on the Northstar vein, which in 1983-84 returned values and widths up to 0.44 oz gold per ton over 9 ft.

The second stage will examine the unexplored Apex zone of the mine by drilling from a station established at the 400 ft lvel.

By spending $667,000(US) on exploration, Interquest will earn a 66.6% working interest in the project.
