Full production is now under way at Viscount Resources’ (VSE) and Skylark Resources’ (VSE) jointly owned O.B. silver-gold mine at Greenwood, B.C.
The mine started shipping 80 tons per day to the nearby Dankoe mill in December (N.M., Jan 18/88). Ore grading 29.49 oz silver and 0.11 oz gold per ton is now being milled at a rate of 140 tons per day and is expected to increase to 200 tons per day shortly, Viscount President Charles O’Sullivan reports. Concentrates are shipped to Cominco’s smelter at Trail, B.C., for refining.
Underground drilling is under way in the Serpentine zone where an earlier drill hole intersected a 30-ft section grading 0.367 oz gold.
