Vancouver-based Houston Metals was recently listed for trading on the Montreal Exchange (symbol HML). The company came into being in 1986 following the amalgamation of Bulkley Silver Resources and Cater Energy.
A junior exploration company, Houston has been concentrating most of its efforts on the Silver Queen mine property in the Omineca mining division of British Columbia. Houston is the operator and has a 60% working interest; its partner is New Nadina Explorations (VSE).
Houston estimates $7.7 million will have been spent by the end of June on the property. A feasibility study is being prepared.
