Results from an underground exploration program have been received by Micham Exploration (VSE) and Mono Gold Mines (VSE) from their Bannockburn property near Madoc, Ont.
A total of 352 ft of drifting was completed on three quartz veins on the 75-ft level. On the No 1 vein, drifting along 45 ft of strike returned an average grade of 0.073 oz gold per ton across a 6-ft width.
Drifting on the No 2 vein yielded an average grade of 0.103 oz along 91 ft and 0.178 oz along 35 ft. Sampling in both drifts was across 6-ft widths.
The best results came from the third vein system. An average grade of 0.248 oz along 130 ft of drift was determined from face samples across a 6-ft width. Another 51-ft section assayed 0.233 oz. Partners Micham and Mono are awaiting the results of a 5,700-ft underground drill program.
