A high grade silver deposit is being delineated by Huldra Silver (VSE) at its Treasure Mountain property 55 miles north of Hope, B.C.
Exploration to date indicates 118,000 tonnes of 32.03 oz silver, 8.39% lead and 3.51% zinc, President Magnus Bratlien says.
Diamond drilling has proven to be unreliable in delineating extent and grade of the deposit which occurs in a fault-controlled vein structure. Vein material is very friable so drilling has not given a representative sampling and reserve estimates are based on channel sampling of the C vein.
The vein has now been partly explored on three horizons; surface, Level 1 and Level 2. Channel sampling at surface over a 617.5-ft strike length by 3.48-ft width averaged 44.13 oz silver, 8.76% lead and 1.71% zinc. On Level 1, a 484×1.1-ft sample gave 33 oz silver, 10.2% lead and 4.7% zinc; and Level 2 had 347.75×3.25 ft averaging 22.23 oz silver, 4.48% lead and 2.28% zinc.
Tonnage indicated from these results is based on the assumption that the vein is continuous from Level 2 through to the surface, Bratlien says. Further exploration, including a new level to be driven halfway between Levels 1 and 2 will be undertaken to confirm vein continuity. Work on the intermediate level will start late April.
