GAC meeting

The joint national meeting of the Geological Association of Canada, the Mineralogical Association of Canada and the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists will be held May 22-25, 1988, in St. John’s, Nfld.

About 1,000 registrants are expected for the meeting, which will offer a wide range of symposia, special and general sessions, field trips, short courses and exhibits.

Highlight subjects will include geology of the North Atlantic Margins, Appalachian-Caledonian geology, mineral deposits, geochemistry, groundwater and mineral exploration, paleontology, and global change.
