Willans mystery on television

Followers of the Dan Willans saga may be interested in a television program, Unsolved Mysteries, which will devote part of its Jan 11 show to the mining man and his mysterious disappearance in 1936.

An Englishman who arrived in northern Ontario during the first part of this century and who reportedly made a lot of money in mining, Willans is credited with helping to open up the Red Lake area. He disappeared in August, 1936, never to be seen again.

The unsolved disappearance will be featured as part of the hour- long, prime-time program which is broadcast by the NBC television network.
