Silverside acquires 105 mining claims

Recently announcing the acquisition by staking of 105 mining claims in three separate groups in the Confederation-Uchi Lakes area of northwestern Ontario was Silverside Resources of Toronto.

One of the claim groups is contiguous to the former producing Uchi mine. A second claim group is contiguous to the northwest of the South Bay mine, a massive sulphide deposit which produced copper, zinc and silver; the company says gold occurrences on this claim group are localized along a regional north-south shear.

Silverside says linecutting has commenced; magnetic vlf surveys will follow. Drilling of prospective targets is expected to get under way this month.
