Vancouver-based Seadrift International Exploration reports encountering 188 ft of disseminated and massive sulphide mineralization in hole DDH 88-4, from 844 ft to 1,032 ft, at its wholly-owned Aldermac-Noranda property in northwestern Quebec.
The hole is being drilled at –65degrees,50 ft west of the recently announced DDH 88-2 hole which encountered copper-zinc-silver- gold mineralization. In addition to the hole’s previously reported 214.5 ft of mineralization (N.M., Feb 29/88), Seadrift says a 10.3-ft intersection from 1,423 ft to 1,433.3 ft averaged 1.09% copper and 0.065% zinc, while a 28.5-ft intersection from 1,475.5 ft to 1,504 ft averaged 1.88% copper with low zinc and silver values.
Hole DDH 88-3, the company says, drilled at –59 degrees, 100 ft updip of the 88-2 intersection, encountered 30.5 ft of massive and disseminated sulphides from 984 ft to 1,014.5 ft which ran 2.6% copper, 3.96% zinc and 1.48 oz silver per ton. A 26.5-ft section within the interval assayed 2.88% copper, 4.44% zinc and 1.62 oz silver.
