Two of the gold-bearing intersections were encounted at a depth of about 500 ft. All the remaining intersections were at shallower depths.
Since drilling started in January, 1987, 44 holes totalling 21,152 ft have been drilled. The majority of these were put down along a strike length of 1,800 ft. The gold-bearing zone is open along strike in both direction and is open down dip as well.
At the turn of the century, some 41,632 oz of the yellow metal were produced from 107,062 tons of ore taken from the western extremity of the zone. The majority of thst production came from an area above the 200-ft level.
Jascan shares traded at about $2.30 in Calgary this week while Novamin’s shares commanded a price of $1.40 on the tse.
