Sphinx funding

Agreements with two partnerships has netted Sphinx Exploration of Val d’Or, Que., $600,000 in exploration funding, the company reports. Financing of $300,000 was obtained from each of cmp Limited Resource Partnership 1987 II and Freewest Limited Partnership.

Proceeds from the agreements, both subject to regulatory approval, will be used primarily for exploration work at the Duvay property near Amos, Que.

In other news, Sphinx says it has acquired a 50% interest in the Cadillac gold property from Noranda Explorations, the operator, by spending more than $500,000 on exploration work. A new $300,000 drilling program to explore between 500 ft and 800 ft is under way.

Also, Kimex Resources and Sphinx have signed an agreement whereby the former may earn a 40% interest in Sphinx’s Pershing gold property in northwestern Quebec.
