50 Years Ago AUGUST, 1937 HIGH GRADE SHOW AT SACHIGO RIVER

The last word to The Northern Miner from the Sachigo River Exploration propert y is that drifting on the second level has gone 110 ft, running 2.64 oz, across an average width of two feet. The ore is up to six feet in places, but it narrow s down in others. Where it narrows down, its gold content is compressed; for ins tance, at one place the vein is but three inches wide, but the assay is 40 oz ov er this width. On the first level the length is 66 ft, 1.5 oz over one foot, thr ee inches. In both levels this ore is west of the shaft with the vein continuing strong going west. *Reprinted from The Northern Miner, August, 1937.
