50 years Ago AUGUST, 1937 NEW McDONOUGH FIND VERY RICH

Heavy, visible gold has been found in quartz and granodiorite over a width of 49 ft in trenching the sheared zone recently uncovered on the claims of the McDo nough Mining Syndicate in Vauquelin Twp., Que.

Specimens of the find, brought back to Toronto by geologist Dr H. C. Laird and one of the stakers of the property, provide unmistakable evidence of the richne ss of the discovery. *Reprinted from The Northern Miner, August, 1937.
