50 years Ago AUGUST, 1937 FALCONBRIDGE ENCOURAGED BY EXPLORATION

The big program of outside exploration undertaken by Falconbridge Nickel Mines on its extensive holdings in the Sudbury nickel- copper area is yielding result s.

The holdings were acquired during the past two years.

The cost of the program amounts to about 40 cents per ton treated at the Falcon bridge plant. But already there is evidence that the expenditure may be well jus tified.

Property holdings of Falconbridge now total close to 20,000 acres, meaning tha t Falconbridge and International Nickel possess practically all the favorably co nsidered ground in the Sudbury field. They had several quiet years during the De pression in which to make deals for attractive properties. *Reprinted from The Northern Miner, August, 1937.
