Santa Maria discovery at Opapimiskan Lake

What it describes as a significant discovery is reported by Santa Maria Resources, on its Zeemel Lake property in the Opapimiskan Lake area of northwestern Ontario.

President Gordon Plaskett says in an initial 10,000-ft drill program, discovery hole No 3 returned an assay of 0.56 oz gold per ton, over a 4.1-ft core length. Adjacent samples in the hole are being prepared for assay, Mr Plaskett says.

The drilling is designed to investigate geological structures as defined by magnetic and electromagnetic surveys for 2.5 miles across the property.
