COATS Trading Features (November 16, 1987)

Mirado Nickel Mines, which holds a royalty interest in a gold play near Kirkland Lake, Ont., was steady at 18 cents -20 cents . Unfortunately, no royalties will likely be coming. The mine was shut down a few months ago following dilution and grade problems by the operator.

Northfield Capital Corp, which controls ase-listed companies Northfield Minerals and Northern Ranger, was quiet at 45 cents on thin volume. The latter two companies are busy outlining reserves at the Cheminis deposit west of Virginiatown, Ont.

Newly-issued Glencairn Explorations was a busy trader, as 176,000 shares traded hands. The issue remained unchanged at 33 cents -43 cents . Exxeter Resources was also active as 138,00 shares were traded to close at $1.25. The company has acquired several gold plays in the U.S. Hardtimes have fallen on Card Lake Resources which traded to a new low of 25 cents before recovering to a week high of 40 cents . The company holds a gold prospect in the Harker-Holloway area of Ontario. Last summer the issue was trading well over $2.
